Until October 28, Dishoom and Yard Sale Pizza are serving a one-off special that fuses hand-stretched dough with some of Mumbai’s most beloved street-food flavours.
Yard Sale Pizza co-founder Nick Buckland says the partnership has been a long time coming. “We’ve loved Dishoom for years, and have always eyed a collaboration with them. We see a lot of affinity between our two brands in our ethos and audiences, so it feels like a really natural fit.”
The headline act is the 18-inch Vada Pow pizza – a playful spin on the classic vada pav, a roadside potato burger. Soft, golden potato vada, a lively green chutney and a layer of bubbling cheese land on Yard Sale’s blistered crust for a slice that’s warming, zesty and, in Buckland’s words, “an absolute banger”.
It’s joined by Yard Sale’s first ever collaborative garlic bread. A fiery nod to Dishoom’s chilli cheese toast, it’s layered with cheddar, mozzarella and green chillies. “As soon as we added those Dishoom flavours to our classic garlic-bread base, it was a no-brainer,” Buckland tells Broadsheet.
Meanwhile, Dishoom’s hot-and-tangy house chutney makes its debut as a crust-friendly dip, and diners can go all in with the Dishoom bundle, which gets you all three menu items.
The limited-run menu will be available across all 15 Yard Sale shops as well as its 170 partner pubs.
