Expect a screening of Love Actually at the chapel from the film, a Christian Louboutin canelé cart, the grand Connaught Christmas Tree switch-on and plenty of other festive surprises.

There’s something magical about Mount Street. The neighbourhood is full of charming red-brick and terracotta buildings, boutiques and antique stores with bright window displays, and eateries like storied seafood restaurant Scott’s. It’s the ideal backdrop for the annual Mount Street Neighbourhood Holiday Festival, which runs from November 20 to 22 this year, with a programme of film screenings, food and drink pop-ups, shopping events and more.

One of the most anticipated events is the unveiling and switch-on of The Connaught Christmas Tree on November 20. Every year, the grand hotel commissions a top artist to bring their unique vision to the tree, which crowds then gather to admire under the lights. Fans of Love Actually can attend one of two screenings of the beloved 2003 holiday film at Grosvenor Chapel – the same chapel where Keira Knightley and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s characters are married in the film. There will also be daytime screenings of holiday classics Home Alone and It’s a Wonderful Life. Tickets include a treat box from Farm Shop, with proceeds donated to The Homeless Restaurant at Farm Street Church.

There’ll also be plenty of festive food and drink pop-ups. Outside Christian Louboutin, you’ll find a cart serving warm, crisp canelés; wellness brand Tease will be pouring rich vegan hot chocolates and cups of tea, and French luxury brand Sisley will be handing out hot chocolate and mulled wine outside the store, with the chance to win prizes. Ladurée will also serve its signature hot chocolate and will sell bespoke advent calendars and Christmas macaron boxes. Several local restaurants are in on the action, too: Indian fine diner Jamavar will host a warming chai pop-up on its terrace and festive menus will be everywhere including Scott’s, Nipotina and more.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the festive season without shopping. Thursday is the night to tick off the big gifts on your list, with a selection of stores staying open until 7pm and several putting on events. Fashion label Erdem will be offering 10 per cent off purchases, sparkling wine and chocolate, gifts with select purchases and more. Plus, fashion powerhouse Oscar de La Renta will have a champagne reception as part of its pre-spring 2026 trunk show. Other shopping events include an in-store Christmas sing-a-long on November 19 hosted by luxury watch company Bremont (where you’ll also be treated to rum-spice caramel chocolates and gift-wrapping services), a calligraphy activation at skin specialist Dr. Barbara Sturm and custom engraving of luxury candles at Neill Strain. During the festival, there’s also bespoke gift wrapping across the neighbourhood, a painting customisation experience with artist Diana Maclean at designer handbag store Misela and many more perks.

The Mount Street Neighbourhood Holiday Festival runs across various venues from November 20–22. It kicks off with The Connaught Christmas tree reveal at 6.30pm on Thursday November 20. Find the full programme and book tickets to individual events here.
