The Standard London is linking up with quirky Parisian cafe and community space Paperboy for a two-month takeover at its ground floor terrace Double Standard, bringing stacked sandwiches, iced drinks and its run club to King’s Cross.
Running from April 24 to June 19, Paperboy’s latest international outing will offer an all-day menu of its signature New York-style sandwiches and buns with subtle Japanese influences.
Flavour combinations will include a fried fish bun with white sauce, tuna tataki sando, wagyu smash burger and the Instagram-favourite “breakfast bun” starring bacon, egg and cheese.
These will sit alongside the Parisian spot’s line-up of iced drinks including ginger lemonade and iced tea.
A series of Sunday morning run clubs will kick off from May 10, with routes starting at The Standard and looping through surrounding neighbourhoods before finishing back at Double Standard for post-run coffee and snacks. Distances will range from 5 to 8km, with sessions open to all levels and free to join.
There’s also a one-off launch party open to the public on Friday May 1 in collaboration with Rinse FM, featuring drinks, DJs and bites from the Paperboy menu, alongside limited-edition merch.
The Paperboy residency will run daily from April 24 to June 19 at The Standard London, 10 Argyle Street, WC1H 8EG. Bookings are recommended.
