Imagine the most delicious week you could possibly have in London. We’re making it happen. Our Seven Dinners in Seven Nights competition will see one lucky winner and three friends dining at a top London restaurant every night for a week. The week kicks off with fire and smoke from the braai at Kudu: Marylebone’s South African-inspired restaurant serving up beautifully barbecued meat in a richly textured space nodding to Cape Town sunsets.
Tuesday brings Michelin-starred, Basque-inspired cooking in the form of Tomos Parry’s Soho restaurant Mountain, where Parry champions Welsh produce. Our tip: order the spider crab omelette.
Next there’s Poon’s at Somerset House, the pink-hued restaurant that immediately won over Londoners when it opened late last year with owner Amy Poon’s approach to Chinese home cooking. On Thursday, it’s your chance to taste your way around Spain at Legado, chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho’s Shoreditch restaurant pairing lesser-known regional dishes with low-intervention wines.
If you’ve long been meaning to try Kol, then now’s your chance. On Friday night, you’ll enjoy a Mexican feast by chef Santiago Lastra, with a tasting menu showcasing his bold and seasonal approach to the country’s cuisine: think langoustine tacos and short rib quesadillas.
Saturday night is suitably grand, with a globe-spanning seafood meal at theatrical Mayfair fine-diner Lilibet’s. We can’t think of a better way to end the week than with a Sunday roast at Café François, the Borough Yard sister to St James’s restaurant Maison François, drawing inspiration from Parisian cafes.
