Jeremy Lee, Ben Chapman, Joké Bakare and more will join Tomos Parry to raise money for Palestine.

On September 8, a brigade of London’s top chefs will come together to cook at Brat Climpson’s Arch to raise money for charities working in Palestine. Ben Chapman (Super 8 Restaurants), Ukrainian chef Nika Lozovska, Brat’s Tomos Parry, Meedu Saad (Kiln), Joké Bakare (Chishuru) and Jeremy Lee (Quo Vadis) will unite to make a six-course set menu. One hundred per cent of the proceeds – including the money raised from drinks sales – will be split evenly between Amos Trust, which works to distribute food and water in Gaza and the West Bank, and Medical Aid for Palestinians.

It's the first in a series of “solidarity suppers” organised by Matt Emmerson and Ben Marks, co-founders of Perilla and Morchella, and communications agency founder Gemma Bell, to raise awareness and funds for Gaza and broader Palestine. Future suppers will be hosted at The Drapers Arms, Perilla and Sune on one Monday each month, and more events are planned for the year ahead. Tickets will cost between £65 and £100, depending on the venue and menu.

“Solidarity Suppers is the chance for us, as a community, to come together in response to the unimaginable humanitarian crisis,” said Marks in a statement. “Palestinians are facing hunger on a devastating scale, and as an industry built around food, we cannot look away. Access to food is not a privilege, it is a basic human right and should never be used as a tool in war; it should be something that brings people together.”

The Solidarity Supper at Brat Climpson's Arch is on September 8. Tickets are £75 here.
