London’s style set braved the rain and took to the streets in maximal colour, clashing prints, and a jacket style that is set to become spring’s most coveted layering piece.

As London Fashion Week comes to a close, the city’s streets are set to lose some of their sartorial sparkle, as editors, influencers and buyers descended on the capital in their finest ‘fits. Jumping from runway shows to presentations and parties, the style set embraced both maximal colour and print clashing, and pared-back minimalism. Plaid – and particularly that oh-so-British Burberry check – was everywhere, while once-ubiquitous leopard coats were largely replaced with bambi and zebra. Elsewhere, Napoleon jackets and Tang jackets emerged as the hot new layering pieces to know for spring 2026, while oversized leather bombers continue their reign.

In terms of accessories, the hat obsession shows no sign of abating, with everything from pillbox hats to berets and bonnets making an appearance. Furry footwear was an unexpectedly popular choice and every other showgoer was carrying an umbrella – it is London after all.
