After several years of making the capital salivate over her distinctive take on crispy New York-style pizza, Hannah Drye has found a new residency for Dough Hands at All My Friends in Hackney Wick, opening Thursday May 7.
Currently based at The Spurstowe Arms in Dalston (a residency which will remain open), Dough Hands will wrap up its South London residency at the Old Nun’s Head on April 25, before moving into the shipping container kitchen at The Cause Collective’s late night, canal-side bar.
Drye’s fresh new menu of 20-inch pies will continue to revolve around her trademark brand of thin, crisp bases topped with punchy, often unconventional combinations. Dough is made using regenerative flour from Shipton Mill and Wildfarmed, while toppings on the new menu include tomato with anchovy, garlic sausage with pistachio pesto; and aubergine with lamiri harissa and salted ricotta. Elsewhere, coppa with pineapple and house guindilla (chilli peppers) will likely divide diners, while a sausage with tequila sauce promises an extra quirky twist.
For the first time, individual slices of pizza will be available for snacking and mixing and matching.
Dough Hands at All My Friends opens Thursday May 7 at Unit 1, 96 White Post Lane, E9 5EN.
