Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been thinking about objects and heirlooms that are kept and passed between generations. With this in mind she’s launched Memoire, a new range of “luxury lifestyle keepsakes” – including journals, luggage tags, stationery and candles – designed to be used, kept and handed down.
The collection is split across four of what Huntington-Whiteley calls “worlds” – or concepts – High Castle, Love Bird, Secret Garden and Glass Lake, each with distinctive colour palettes, patterns, design references and muses, and each inspired by what the women closest to the model would like to keep in their homes. Every “world” includes a candle made with mouth-blown Murano glass, a stationery set, a notebook, a luggage tag, photo frames and a box for storing keepsakes.
High Castle references old-world charm and polish – think a candle poured into amber glass and a deep brown pebbled-leather notebook – while Love Birds leans more sultry with an oxblood luggage tag crafted in Varese, Italy (a region known for its premium leather production) from full-grain calf leather and stationery made from Crane cotton paper emblazoned with an illustration of courting swallows.
Glass Lake is inspired by “a world of romanticism and grace”: a candle of eucalyptus, silvered fir and lily of the valley, and a duck egg blue leather photo frame. Then there’s Secret Garden, which is more whimsical, with stationery printed with florals and vines, and a box for storing mementoes that’s wrapped in paper printed with watercolours.
Each item can be personalised with initials or dates. Candles can be engraved in pewter, stationery can be personalised with custom typography, and leather goods can be embossed.
“Memoire was born from an obsession with memory, with the beauty of objects that outlive us, and the quiet rituals of home,” Huntington-Whiteley wrote on Instagram. “A collection of pieces designed to be gathered over time. Lived with, travelled with, passed between hands and generations.”
