Try on the label’s full collection – from interlocked pendants to multi-looped ear cuffs – at an interactive styling bar in a space that melds old-school haberdashery-inspired design and contemporary elegance.

When Rosanna and Christie Wollenberg launched their contemporary jewellery brand Otiumberg in 2016, they knew they wanted it to reflect their sisterly connection. Their approach proved a hit – and now, as the brand marks its 10-year-anniverary, the Wollenbergs are opening a flagship shop on the King’s Road, centred around an interactive styling bar. It joins Otiumberg’s debut boutique, which opened in Holland Park in 2024.

The brand’s interlocked pendants, multi-looped ear cuffs, and personalised totem name cord bracelets have been worn by women like Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Helen Mirren and Margot Robbie at the world’s most glamorous events, from red carpets to Wimbledon. But the sisters say that, as proud as they are of their celebrity clients, it’s busy city girls like themselves who they first started designing for. “You could equally wear [our pieces] in your everyday life with your hair scraped back, wearing jeans and a T-shirt. And that is so glorious because [they’re perfect] for any occasion,” they tell Broadsheet, detailing how their lives as busy mums have highlighted how important it is to create beautiful jewellery that can be worn anywhere.

The sisters grew up in south west London, and opening a boutique on one of the capital’s “most popular, well-respected roads” is a “full-circle” moment that took years to get just right. “We’re B-Corp and independent, and we work with two charities, so there’s so much more than growth that we consider on a daily basis,” Rosanna and Christie say. The “uplifting, inviting” corner unit’s open plan layout, modern light fixtures and chrome finishing reflects a mix of “old-school Burlington Arcade haberdashery” and contemporary elegance. Oak vitrines display the brand’s diamond, gold, gemstone, sterling silver, vermeil and mixed metal jewellery, while sustainable handmade furniture by Norwich leather studio Otzi injects the space with character.

The shop is anchored by a playful styling bar and Otiumberg’s full collection on display for the first time; visitors are free to try on different pieces under the guidance of in-house stylists. Taking a cue from the brand name – which is a portmanteau of their last name and the word otium (the Latin word for taking time out to do leisurely activities) – the sisters hope their new boutique will encourage customers to take refuge from “the hecticness of London” and discover a cocoon of “calm, beauty and discovery”.

“We want our pieces to be this moment in themselves – you touch them, and it’s a moment because they’re beautiful, but it’s also a connection to something deeper. Whether that’s a reminder that you’ve got a new job and you got these earrings [to celebrate] or it’s something that you’ve been gifted, we think there’s beauty and connection [in it all] and it’s so lovely that jewellery can really [reflect] both of those things.”
