Now Open: Approachable Acupuncturist Pricc Opens a Second Studio, in Marylebone

Its colourful fitout is an antidote to other “beige and neutral wellness spaces”, and it aims to make the practice easier to fit into your routine.

When Pricc launched its first space in Notting Hill four years ago, its mission was to introduce the world of acupuncture to Londoners who’d never considered trying it before.

Founder Victorine Pot, who discovered acupuncture as a remedy for her auto-immune conditions, wanted to offer a service that felt easy and effortlessly slotted into modern life. Its clinics are open seven days a week, and all bookings are online

Pot decided to open Pricc number two in Marylebone after considering “everywhere from Canary Wharf to Primrose Hill”, she tells Broadsheet. It opened in September, and Pot is still happy with her choice. “This location makes complete sense given its proximity to fertility clinics, other healthcare providers and offices.”

The space itself is part of what makes Pricc so appealing to Londoners who are new to acupuncture – it’s an environment that feels modern and stylish. “We used the same interior designers as for the Notting Hill space,” says Pot. “For both spaces I wanted to create something unisex, calm and slightly clinical, but still with some fun and colourful elements. I was bored of all the beige and neutral wellness spaces around.”

But don’t expect style over substance; Pot takes hiring seriously. “We offer a consistent experience and all our practitioners have three- or four-year degrees in Chinese medicine, plus additional training.” Pricc offers 60- and 30-minute treatments, but Pot recommends newcomers start with an initial 45-minute session. You can choose from a range of services that target specific ailments and concerns, such as boosting immunity and relief from anxiety or insomnia.

“Acupuncture can help anyone, especially in today’s world,” says Pot. “We are not claiming it is a replacement for western medicine, but rather an additional tool.”
