It’ll be split across multiple levels, with one floor dedicated to pizza and another to pasta. And it’ll be led by the chef behind a Michelin-starred Milan restaurant.

Fortune Family, the burgeoning group behind Marylebone Italian restaurant Lita, will add a new Italian to its roster this autumn. Salone will launch next door to Burberry, just off Regent Street, and span 6700 square feet across several floors. The group has appointed Luca Natalini, of Milan’s Michelin-starred Autem, as executive chef of the all-day diner.

Each floor will have an open kitchen – a hallmark of Natalini’s immersive approach at Autem – and diners will sit at a long communal table and counter seating. A pizzeria will dominate the ground floor, while a live pasta station will anchor the first level; seafood and meat will run through the menu in every space. There will also be a bar catering for everything from aperitivo to late-night drinks.

The new spot joins other recent additions to the area, including Georgian restaurant DakaDaka and handroll sushi joint Temaki. It also signals a pivotal year for Fortune Family – it recently appointed Kostas Papathanasiou as culinary director of Lita; not long after he started, the restaurant retained the Michelin star it was awarded under former head chef Luke Ahearne, who now heads up the kitchen at Fitzrovia’s Motorino.

Salone will open in autumn 2026.
