Anna Foster ·

The creative director behind London’s beloved sustainable fashion brand wears sculptural silver ear cuffs, swears by a Soho salon for facials, and prefers to drink tea from a certain bone china mug.

Anna Foster opened ELV Denim in 2018 with a mission to reduce the transcontinental transport involved in jean production. ELV (which stands for East London Vintage) transforms vintage and dead-stock denim into sharp, contemporary pieces, each one cut, crafted and finished in the UK. Foster’s vision blends meticulous British craftsmanship with a zero-waste, circular design ethos that challenges fashion’s waste problem and champions slow, considered production. The result is a brand beloved by global tastemakers and stocked by leading retailers. Here are 10 objects she loves.

Luminous 27 Criolla Chiquita silver ear cuff, £349

It is so refreshing to find a jeweller creating sculptural pieces. I discovered their incredible jewellery this summer, and I have been wearing the Criolla Chiquita ear cuff all the time. My next purchases are the Polvorosa Pave Chiquito ear cuff and the Bolas Duo necklace.

Annoushka Knuckle heavy chain bracelet, £5900

This is the bracelet of my dreams.

Le Monde Beryl Bobouche kitten heel, £475

I tried these on recently, and I can’t stop thinking about them.

ELV Denim Bailey bomber, £2100

This jacket is extraordinary. Each piece of leather is rescued from the offcuts of furniture manufacturing, and it takes over a week just to reconstruct the material. Oversized, it’s perfect for everyone.

Facial at Salon C Stella, £145–£235

Andrea [Hunt] is my skin-spiration; I don’t put anything on my skin without her prior approval. Book in for The Best Facial – you will be back for more, I promise!

Sister by Studio Ashby Rhino chair in oak, £9500

The Rhino chair in oak has been on my wishlist visualisation mood board forever.

Feldspar handpainted gold and bone china espresso mugs (set of four), £136

It might sound decadent, but I can only drink tea from a bone china mug – it really does make a difference. These from Feldspar are the best.

ELV Denim Harvard denim skirt, £395

I have this on repeat!

On Cloudvista 2, £140

The On Cloudvista 2 canvas and rubber-trimmed ripstop and mesh trainers are great.
