Broadsheet London’s Dine Out Festival Expands Its Line-Up

Broadsheet’s blockbuster food festival, in partnership with Modelo, now features the return of Black Axe Mangal, a late-night party at one of London’s hottest wine bars, a collab between The Marksman and The Pelican, and more.

We told you that we’d be adding more events to our already-stacked line-up – and today, we’re excited to share them with you. Dine Out – Broadsheet’s week-long festival celebrating the best of London’s dining scene from August 4 to 10 – is bigger than ever. And to secure tickets, you’ll want to act fast.

To kick things off on August 4, two London legends collide, with Black Axe Mangal’s Lee Tiernan taking his currently closed restaurant to Angela Hartnett’s Cafe Murano. Late last year, Tiernan announced that his influential, heavy metal-inflected Highbury restaurant would “pause” after 10 years – but for one night, he’s teaming up with longtime friend Hartnett to prepare a three-course sharing feast in her Bermondsey kitchen. Expect Italian classics with a Black Axe Mangal twist.

Equally as exciting is a one-night-only collaboration between two of London’s beloved boozers, The Pelican and The Marksman. At The Pelican, Public House Group’s lauded Notting Hill pub, seasonal British cooking will take centre stage.

Dine Out knows how to throw a party – and on Friday August 7, De Beauvoir’s subterranean wine bar Stable Wines is swapping its tables for turntables with a late-night party. This cavernous spot will stay open until 2am, with £6 wines by the glass.

Speaking of parties, on August 8, Dalston’s queer cocktail bar Roses of Elagabalus will host an evening of cabaret, DJs and dancing, with a four-course supper provided by the chefs behind Logma – the popular Iranian Iraqi cafe-bistro by Ziad Halub and Farsin Rabiee.

But that’s not all. During Dine Out, a clutch of some of London’s best-loved bakeries, cafes and bars will be serving up drinks and treats only available during the festival. We’ve already told you about Fink’s Tutti Frutti cube cake and Dishoom and Happy Endings’s ice-cream sundae; but now, you can add scoops of strawberry and pineapple weed ice-cream by The Dreamery and the Cascara Iced Foamie by De Beauvoir coffee shop Day Trip to your must-try list.

Tickets to Dine Out events are always selling fast, so make sure you get yours now to avoid missing out.
