Collaborating with Completedworks has been on the wish list of Rise & Fall founders’ Jed Coleman and Will Coulton “for some time”, Coleman tells Broadsheet. Together, the two London brands have just dropped Material Study, a jewellery collection that fuses Completedworks’s sculptural jewellery with Rise & Fall’s material-focused approach to design. The five-piece range draws influences from the colour, texture and design of Rise & Fall’s autumn/winter 2026 collection, and is the clothing and homewares brand’s first foray into jewellery since launching in 2018.
“We both believe in starting with the material itself and allowing its inherent qualities to inform the design, rather than designing around a trend,” Coleman says. “There is a shared appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship, beautiful materials and creating pieces designed to last.”
The sculptural silver-plated Origami brooch demonstrates this blended approach. It was designed to be worn with Rise & Fall’s cashmere wrap and double-faced cashmere outerwear. “It is a very personality-led piece of jewellery, and we are particularly interested to see how each customer chooses to wear and style it in their own way,” Coleman says. “There is something quite playful about the fact that the same piece can take on a completely different character depending on who is wearing it.”
Meanwhile, the Early Bird earrings riff on, and are designed to be worn with the knitwear range of the same name. The knits’ indigo and oxblood colourways are reimagined in blue and red resin that’s set into recycled silver. The Flint necklace – a green resin pendant with recycled-silver plated brass – is also made to wear over knitwear. And while the range channels high-end design and uses luxurious materials, it hews to the considered approach to pricing Rise & Fall has become known for: prices start at £155 which, while more pricey than high street brands is considerably lower than other similarly pitched labels.
Coleman says that while both brands share aesthetic similarities, they soon realised they also hold a similar design philosophy. “We are both interested in creating pieces that feel relevant beyond a single season: considered, beautifully made designs that become part of how you dress and live.”
